Inroduction of magnetic heads

Magnetic head is the tools of reading and writing in hard disk, it is the key part of hard disk. Its major function is that transfer the magnetic information stored in hard disk into electrical signals and delivery the signals. Magnetic heads can be classfied into three classes: GAM (Giant Magneto Resisive) heads, AMR(Anisotropic Magneto Resistive) heads and TFI heads.At present the relatively common magnetic heads are GAM heads, because GAM heads is more sensitive than traditional heads and MR heads and can improve the density and performance of disks.

Giant Magneto Resistive heads

When used in magnetic heads, the high sensitivity of GMR chips can be fully utilized. While reading and detecting weak magnetic signals, there are significantly advantageous over magnetic heads made of other materials. GMR magnetic heads have been applied to computer hard disk driving and storage systems since 1998 and greatly elevated storage density. GMR magnetic heads can be used in finance, security, electronic settlement systems, and electronic attendance management and etc.
